Introduction

The Stanley Open Reel Fibreglass is a high quality, conventional long (or surveyors’) tape measure from one of the World’s most recognisable brands. Featuring a 60 metre (200 feet) long fibreglass blade that resists stretching and therefore maintains accuracy (to Class III EEC standards), the blade is 12mm wide for easy reading, features printing on both sides for convenience and is tipped by a conventional, rust-proof folding end hook or ‘anchor’. The bi-material, impact resistant case protects both the blade and the user thanks to the soft grip. The blade is wound back into the open-reel, frame-type case using a convention crank mechanism making for a smooth and easy action. The frame design lets the conscientious user clean the blade without fuss thereby reducing the build up of dirt and other debris and reducing the chance of abrasion and jamming.
